August in the Keys and then Indiana
It was so relaxing to be able to take a vacation! Marilyn & Eliott were down here for a few days and we ran off to the Florida Keys. Days running around and finding stuff to do (Key West, Beach Day, Thrift Store Shopping) and evening spent in playing cards and having a good time. Paul, Savio, Sid, Sherry, Morgan, and Anne were all there too. What a great time. And thanks to all the cooks on that last night. The fish (cooked 2 ways) was delicious.
Then off to Indiana with Marilyn & Eliott. On our first day back in old Nap-Town, we met up with the family for a celebration of Aunt Mich & Uncle Red's 25th wedding anniversary at Aunt Mary's house. Gabby was just starting to crawl. Lots of family and friends were in attendance, even on a Monday night. And nobody left by 9pm (as Aunt Mary asked) but that's ok, too.
Tuesday night (on the actual anniversary), went to see the Jimmy Buffett concert. Fun stuff. Here's some photos of the pre-party.
Spent some time with Angie at IMA. It was a lovely afternoon after a wonderful lunch over by Clarion Health. And I even got to share my knowledge of the LOVE sculpture there with some unsuspecting tourists.
On Friday went to the Indiana State Fair. Love the fair. I haven't been since 2003, and really enjoyed myself again this time. I should make a point to go to the fair every couple of years. Even with all the Elvis', the Florida State Fair cannot compare.
All-in-all it was a very relaxing couple of weeks. I miss the Indiana folks! Come visit soon.
